CI2024 Symposium Program

We are excited to share the Preliminary Scientific Program for CI2024 International in Vancouver, BC. We are grateful to our Conference Chairs—Drs. Jacob Hunter and Viral Tejani—and the entire CI Program Team for their work on putting together the program.  We’re also gratified that so many extraordinary clinicians and scientists from around the world have chosen to share their clinical research with all of us.

Plan to arrive in time to attend the CI Company Satellite events on Wednesday July 10 starting at 1:00 PM PT. Stay through Saturday’s presentations because we’ve saved some of the most exciting talks for last.

Here are just some of the program highlights:

  • Niparko Lecture (Ruth Litovsky PhD): Successful Pathways to Outcomes in Bilateral Cochlear Implantation
  • Wide-ranging presentations on Single Sided Deafness and Asymmetric Hearing Loss including a Keynote by Jill Firszt PhD, a panel on unilateral hearing loss, and numerous podium talks
  • Sessions highlighting assessment, treatment, and outcomes in patients along the age spectrum
  • Auditory Experience within an Early Critical Period with a keynote by Andrej Krai MD/PhD followed by a panel exploring how our society values listening in children with hearing loss and what we can do to improve awareness
  • Delivery models for various populations across the globe including disparities and inequities
  • Surgical and medical issues including use of robotics
  • (Re)Habilitation for children and adults during a robust afternoon session exploring variability in children and building a rehab program for adults
  • Pharmacological Therapy including presentations by two scientists involved in gene therapy trials now underway

Though we expect that there will be some additions and small changes, the meeting schedule will show what you can expect in Vancouver. Please revisit these pages for updates to the program content. Note all times for the meeting reflect Pacific Time (PT).
